The Tustamena-- (photo taken around 2007) many, many years ago, in late October, I went to Akutan, AK for work. On the day we were scheduled to fly out on the Grumman Goose, a storm came in. We couldn't leave. And then the Tustamena came into the harbor. It was the last ferry of the year. Sailing the Bering Sea safely through a storm on the Tustamena was a dream. She lives in my heart. Today, we drove around Kodiak; and there She was.
